Divine Rebellion starts in January 2009. Pasquale Abbruzzese on Guitar and vocals, Robin Simon,on Drums, and Pawel Fijak on Bass decide to put their musical knowledge together to form a new band. Divine Rebellion starts in January 2009. Pasquale Abbruzzese on Guitar and vocals, Robin Simon,on Drums, and Pawel Fijak on Bass decide to put their musical knowledge together to form a new band. The combination is working like a clock. Pawel is a metalhead in it’s purest form and makes the band sound hard and aggressive. Robin is a rockdrummer with a taste for funk and grunge-rock and forces the band to play tight and groovy at the same time. The grooves are played in a swagger-feel that gives the songs more space to breath. Pasquale is the melodic brain in the band and is the base for the overall sound in Divine Rebellion. His way to play is based around hard riffs, the blues and melodic arrangements with a true feel. The lyrics are the crown on every song and come straight from the hart. After recording the first demo, bass player Pawel couldn't find the time anymore to play for Divine Rebellion because he is about to become a pround father for the second time and we started our quest to find a new bass player. We had a lot of auditions and try-outs. Finally we have found the bass player we were looking for. Stijn Warendorff is the new bass player of Divine Rebellion. Divine Rebellion is drawing equally from the heavy riffing of metal and the gloomy strains of blues-rock, the band tries to develop a bleak, a nihilistic sound that balances grinding hard rock with subtly textured dark-rock numbers. We can be hard enough for metal fans, and our dark subject matter and hard blues attack places us with the grunge bands. We are ready to Rock! Are you?
