DK is a UAE local, born in his mother’s town, Detroit Michigan after his family moved to Dubai at the age of three. Brought up in Dubai, DK has always linked back to his American background with a feel of the Arabic culture in creating strong witty rap music. DK is a UAE local, born in his mother’s town, Detroit Michigan after his family moved to Dubai at the age of three. Brought up in Dubai, DK has always linked back to his American background with a feel of the Arabic culture in creating strong witty rap music. Entering in many underground "Rap Battles" this youngster has always left the audience impressed with deep cutting rhymes mixed with a touch of humor. In 2006, DK went to his American town where he recorded a song with Eminem's previous "Hype Man" 'Royce Da59'. After his return he was signed to a local record label "Taqaseem" in Al Ain where he started recording his first debut. A true perfectionist, DK always has something to add to his tracks that has developed a strong and solid piece in his album. In 2008, DK signed with Viva Dubai to represent his talent, market and manage his artist affairs. Shortly after being signed, a rapper named Ghetti (PIK Affiliated) from Atlanta came down to Dubai to record a track with DK after hearing some of DK’s underground songs. Desert Highway was recorded in Dubai and mastered in USA; this track will have three versions to be released worldwide featuring other artists from the USA and England. DK then had a breakthrough with Shady Records, after recording a song with Shady’s recently signed Cashis in a new age “gangsta” track produced by Rikanati. His work then evolved after signing to do tracks with Obie Trice and D12. Also in 2011 D.K. will release his freshman album worldwide under labels DOKA RECORDS in conjunction with PIK AFFILIATED.
