Dstaff, MiC Hamm, Blazz B. The 3 intricate pieces when brought together create the composite factor known as “D.M.B.”. D.M.B. manifested not by choice, but merely by God’s will. “God brought yall to me for a reason”-Dstaff. Prior to the development of the group MiC Hamm and Blazz B were in a group formally known as 4 Brothers in which Dstaff did all of their engineering. After the collapse of the group in 2008 MiC Hamm and Blazz B had no one else to turn to except Dstaff for guidance. It was on those days that the beginning of a new era of artists was to emerge as one unit and achieve the one component that every artist wants to fulfill before they retire. Take over the game and become the greatest of all time.
Dstaff saw a lot of promise in the young two artists, both reminding him of his self when he was their age. When no one else believed in MiC and Blazz, he was the only individual. As a solo artist and engineer he took time away from his craft to assist them with theirs. In time he mentored the inspiring artists showing them the proper ways of recording techniques, mixing songs, and many other key factors to ensure quality of a song. From there the relationships fortified and facilitated everyone as a whole generating the group recognized as D.M.B.
“Whether yall realized it or not, I’ve learned a lot from yall as well”, - Dstaff. “I love yall like my brothers man”, -Blazz B. D.M.B. isn’t just a music group but rather a brotherhood. And like any organization, we have our ups and downs as well. But unlike those that fell, we manage to overcome adversity at its peak subtracting all negativity that seems to arise. With this mindset and the music that we produce, we have no reason but to make to the top. ‘Lol, I mean shit! Might as well!” - MiC Hamm.
