With semi successful career moves as a party promoter in Atlanta, Don Boy realized making it on his own was easier said than done. He finally got a break when he met Lil Twist at a party thrown by Soulja Boy Tellem in late 2007. The two met and soon after they continue to be good friends. Twist offered a job to Don Boy as his personal assistant and help out with his daily needs as an artist under the guidance of his Road Manager Mr. Wendell. He is now on Lil Twist’s T.O.S. [TAKE OVER SOLDIERS] independent imprint label- which consist of members Dan Dan-Montana, Kevlar aka “Rapstar”, Lil Za aka the Youngest Baller, Mr.B and Road Manager Mr. Wendell. Even though Don Boy did not start creating music until early 2008 Don Boy has made tracks with various artists such as Lil Twist, Lil Chuckee, Chubby baby , H-Dot, Mannix, Tydre, Redd XXmas, Ameila the Queen, Young Chu, and Mack Maine, Just to name a few. His Debut Mixtape titled "Luxury Taxes" was released on December 7th, 2009 and did 5,000 plus downloads on the 1st day independently. Off that mixtape there is a song called "what they ask for" Soulja Boy feat. Don Boy and Tk witch did over 200,000+ downloads on the internet through blog sites.
