Derrick "D-DUBB" Woodley Jr. is a 22 year old songwriter/producer from Houston, TX. He started his music career at the age of 6 singing in his church choir. His mother seeing that he was talented, enrolled him in the choral music program at school where he learned the basics of music and singing. He excelled in the classical music program through middle school and high school winning countless medals and awards for his abilities which led him to Sam Houston State University. While in attendance at Sam Houston, he met a young R&B artist by the name of EDJ the I.C.E.MAN who was looking for a new backup dancer. It just so happens Derrick can also dance and after a dance battle in a nightclub, he was considered of the job. Not only was EDJ a singer but he was also a producer and introduced Derrick to a program called GarageBand. After about 10 minutes of playing around on the program, he became interested so he started making beats everyday in the I.C.E.MAN productions studio called the Fridge. Derrick also wrote poetry from time to time so naturally he begin to place his poems with his beats. Finally he struck gold with a song called "Softly." EDJ heard the song and decided to add Derrick on to his independent label I.C.E.MAN productions. After he was on the record label, he starting thinking of name to call himself. His friends called him DW which later on was shorten to D-DUB. One day as he was walking to a class with his headphones on, he realized that he listens to the music of a song more than the lyrics, so he decided to add an extra B on to his name and make the acronym DUBB (Do U Bang Beats). The years have passed since he started and he is now working on EDJ the I.C.E.MAN's new album, his family's company Chase Mob Records and a label by the name of Against The Odds Records. He has lyrics, beats, and his own personal studio where he is constantly working on new music.
