Drexel Baker III was born in Louisiana and grew up in Arkansas. He has lived all over the US and even in Australia, but not until he moved to New York did he begin to mine these experiences and record the songs he had been writing all along the way. Green Sky follows in the traditions of Tom Petty, Neil Young, and Paul Westerberg, as Drexel expresses outside ideas and attitudes through familiar rock rhythms.
