Adding a new singer to Bad Monkey was when we realized that Bad Monkey was long gone. Our love of rock and roll and desire to bring back the fun in it lead us to our destination. Adding a new singer to Bad Monkey was when we realized that Bad Monkey was long gone. Our love of rock and roll and desire to bring back the fun in it lead us to our destination. Renaming the band “Dust and Bones” and recording a CD. Believing that it is OK to put out a dirty rock and roll album with pop sensibility was a foundation for what became the CD “Voodoo”. Proud is and understatement if you ask us what we think of this and we can’t wait to see what you think. When you are at a party, would you want to listen to melancholy songs about how terrible life is and that your parents are the root of all evil? Hell, I am depressed just talking about it. Dust and Bones plays music you can party too and feel good about. I know, the first thing you are going to say is that we are an “80’s” band. The thing that is most forgotten about that time period is that Rock N Roll music reigned supreme back then. So, if you want to call us an “80’s” band, I say thank you very much. We are a dirty Rock N Roll band and damn proud of it. With Nick Elmore on lead vocals his influences are evident. I don’t need to name names and just like his 1 idol, he plays harmonica too. Sean is a veteran guitar slinger, 20 years playing in bands and dishing out his arsenal of riffs. Keeping the time and stomping a mudhole in your chest is Ryan, a veteran himself with 15 years of playing the drums. Rounding out this quartet is Jon “Big Dawg” Jackson. He has only been playing bass for 3 years but took too it naturally. Not to mention, he can sing a little bit too. The chemistry between us 4 guys is evident in our songs and in our shows. We aim to please and are pleased to aim at you in hopes of an eargasm.
