E3PO is a 3 piece reggae project from the Chicago area of Illinois who just released their debut collection called "All She Needs". The bands first record should be in stores and on the web world wide by the end of summer '08. The band runs the full musical gamit, blending swansons signature style of reggae-punkrawk-ska. E3PO features the spastic, mature percussion stylings of Jamie Stewart. As a seasoned proffessional, Stewart might bring back memories of an early Stew Coapland of the police, with his combos and fills. Bringing in the low end, chest rattling, liscense plate shaking bass, is none other than Billy Jensen. The E3PO Reggae Project is the creation and love child of singer/songwriter Eric Swanson. It’s been over a year now since singer/songwriter Eric Swanson left the “illsauce” to pursue solo project E3PO. Eric Swanson has over 18 recordings to date and over 400 original compisitions, it’s no suprise that in 2007 Swanson music was featured into 2 independent films, one of them being “HURT”, that was released in europe in late 2007 and promises to be a success in 2008. Swanson music has thousands of albums sold world wide to date. Swanson music is no stranger to radio, with his first radio debut in 2000, hitting southern Illinois' Z106 MOST REQUESTED chart at the age of 20 appearing at 19 on the official listing.(just under Van Morrison) Swansons songwriting has been used many times in TV, via commercials and network specials, reaching broadcasts on ABC, NBC, CNBC, A&E, & CBS, while shooting the Illsauce's "sand" video "LIVE" on PBS. Swanson music, over the last decade has been able to share the stage with artists such as Psyche Origami, The Chicharones, International Farmers, Josh Martinez, Cipes and the People, Dubconcious, Awol One and The Shape Shifters, Ric Parnell of Spinal Tap, Souls of Mischief, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, REO Speedwagon, Warrant, CCR, Tea Leaf Green, Blue Oyster Cult, Sweat Shop Union, Kansas, ELO, Warsaw Poland Bros., and many,many more.
