Without any major record label support, he has managed to be playlisted locally, played internationally, make an award winning video, perform with some of SA’s top acts and become highly regarded as an emerging business talent within the industry. Covered in both local and international media (The Rising Sun, Sunday Times, Sunday Tribune, People Magazine, Hype Magazine, Channel O, MTV Base and eTV), his first album, “Urban Poison” (2004), later “Suburban Bliss” (2005) was an instant underground hit, spawning songs such as “Ten Years Of Democracy,” a vicious tirade from the voice of a disenchanted youth, as well as “Thug On The Run” and “Crossfire” which became considerably popular in their own right. The iconic "Thug On The Run" video, was the recipient of three video awards and was the most distributed and pirated video in his home country for 2006. On the business side of things, a selection of Eighteen's tracks have been scouted as ringtones by the worlds largest mobile company (there derivative - iTouch in SA). His continued media presence, and eclectic musical stylings have resulted in the aura surrounding him only to grow in mystique and reverance. With the exclusive deal he recently struck with Puma Fragrances, wherein his music is being used in the Flowing campaign in territories from Germany to Russia.
