My main interest as a composer lies in the integration of different genres of music and creation of a new genre of music that is both relevant and sophisticated. My main interest as a composer lies in the integration of different genres of music and creation of a new genre of music that is both relevant and sophisticated. In 2005, I have formed the Ensemble Mik Nawooj and premiered our first hybrid work, which got a full page write up on the Oakland Tribune. Since then, I have focused my energy into creating the kind of music I call "Hybrid Music", which is a specific kind of cross over between various current vernacular music and the natural tonal organizations developed by the Renaissance musicians & theorists. From 2006 to 2009, I was under the management of jazz legend Ahmad Jamal. In 2010, I have founded the Golden Fetus Records, a record label and musical fraternity, which helps to create and promote Hybrid Music.
