Biography

I began singing in 2003 when I was a junior in high school.  Some folks call that a late start and in some ways, maybe it was.  I always had a passion for music, growing up in a household with a parent that was a vocal performance and education major in college and a professional singer.  You might say I had plenty of inspiration in that regard.  I am a singer/songwriter/music producer and vocal arranger.  I think I have earned this title for several reasons. I started my journey as a singer with a group I formed called “S1”. We released an album in 2005 self-titled, “S1”. This album garnered some success overseas in Japan and Germany. We sold over 2,500 units in these markets and followed up with a national tour.   S1 hit its peak in the fall of 2008 when we were selected out of over 1,000 groups nationwide, to compete on “MTV’s Top Pop Group”.  We competed for a $100,000.00 grand prize and made it all the way to the final four.  Although we did not win, we were fairly certain this opportunity would give us a running start in the music industry.  Unfortunately, one of our members decided it was his time to become a solo artist and shortly after the competition, the group disbanded after over six years.   In 2009, after much soul searching, and encouragement, I realized I had the confidence to step out on my own and began focusing on my own solo material. Later that year, I entered the Ourstage.com’s “Intel Superstars Competition” where I won first place in the R&B category for my song “What’s on My Mind”. I was the lucky recipient of $5,000 in hardware and software as a result. Now in 2011 I consider myself an artist focused on foward movement and progression within the music feild. I have a wide range of skills to offer to the world and I'm not nearly finished yet.
