Erin Frances’ sound borders somewhere between the absolute purity of a choir girl and the chaotic depths of an honest old soul yearning to be understood and demanding the connection to her audience. This she can and does accomplish effortlessly. Her Influences include the 70’s rock stylings of such iconic voices as Ann Wilson of Heart, Robert Plant, the crooning mystery of Grace Slick and the songstress stylings of Emmy Lou Harris. A transplant from Fernie BC, she now resides in Vancouver, working with producer Dave Thompson of Digital Underdog Productions on an EP that will have you salivating at her voice and fist pumping her kick-some-ass take-no-prisoners lyrics. Past credits in this songstress’s repertoire include a period of intense operatic studies, fronting such rock bands as Doxie, Influence, and most recently Grace Under Fire. She’s rocked such festivals as Bridgefest alongside artists Michael Bernard Fitzgerald and Currentswell, as well as local Fernie music rockers (and past SEEDS participant) Soul Loud. She has contributed vocals and songwriting to Toronto electronic master Pronobozo, and most recently co-wrote with 2010 Jack Richardson Award recipient Ben G. Erin stresses her love and poignant sophisticated revenge in her music. Her sarcasm and unrelentless passion for some good 'ol fashioned straight talk will leave you breathless, and sometimes, quite frankly, shocked and awed. She wears her heart on her sleeve and will throw her hair back and wickedly laugh in your face if you tell her that's a bad idea. This girl has no fear of living life boldly and without apology; and consequently her music is a reflection of the same ideology; an authentic canvas of a life only a quarter lived, with a Pandora’s box of secrets and stories just waiting to make their way to the page and out into a song.
