The Swedish band Eskobar started playing together in the current lineup in late 1996 – then located in a small town called Åkersberga, 30 kilometres north of their current hometown Stockholm. 1999 they signed a record deal with V2 Music after having sent them a three-song demo. The Swedish band Eskobar started playing together in the current lineup in late 1996 – then located in a small town called Åkersberga, 30 kilometres north of their current hometown Stockholm. 1999 they signed a record deal with V2 Music after having sent them a three-song demo. The first single, On A Train, was released on November 21, 1999. The debut album ‘Til We’re Dead was released in March the following year. Since 2006 Eskobar are running their own label, named Gibulchi Records. The first record on their own label was the self-entitled “Eskobar”, an 11 track half acoustic album that was released in May 2006. The band released their fifth album “Death In Athens” 2008.
