Eugenius was born Eugene Wright on September 4, 1988. His parents note that shortley after he became active (crawling and reacting to others) they sense his liking to sound and ryhthm. His mother says, "When he began to cry, we just played blues and soul. It seemed to work every time!" His farther thinks it may be genetic. His farther, also named Eugene Wright, had a music career in his past which continued through the youth ages of MB. Thus involving him in the aspect of the music industry at an young age. The moment that first started his journey to the top came from one of his farthers concert. He climbed on stage, grabbed a mic, and what came out his mouth made the crowd come alive. Maybe of just because he was only 9 years old and had the courage to get on stage, but it didn't make a difference to him. He knew from then on what he wanted to do with his life. Shortly after his moment of inspiration, his farther told him that the best musicians played instruments and made good grades. Eugene always made good grades, but papa saw it as a way to make his grades improve from B's to A's. What his farther didn't count on was the instruments. In fourth grade, he learned to play the harmonica in fifth grade the saxapahone. Sixth grade he wasn't able to play any music in the band, but as a result he enrolled in a choir class and learned how to read music. Sounds like a fairy tale so far, but every story has its down fall. Through Eugene's childhood, he managed to stay away from the streets, but as he grew, his temptation did also. Eugene grew up in a rough neighborhood where every one knew him and respected him for trying to be a scholar. As times got tough, he turned to the streets. Didn't take long before he got envolved in drugs, violence, and other illegal activities. Unlike many who turned to the streets, he managed to keep good grades despite teachers who tried numerous times to flunk him because they knew his lifestyle. Once he took the time to realize that he could make it without the streets, he decided to attend an alternative high school out side of the ghetto that was known to have smartest students in the city. He was only a freshman in high school for one week before everyone knew him for his freestyling skills. Shortly after he came across two upper classmen by the name of T*Merk and B-Phlat. They showed him the ropes to how the music industry works. From there they became life long influences. Eugene once again had problems to deal with. His old street habbits caused him to get put out of school and back to ghetto. When he returned to his neighborhood. He had to enrolled in the toughest high school in the city of Birmingham. Eugene said he felt back square one, only with more sense. MB met Dee Skillz who was only a freshman, but reminded him of himself at his other high school. Together, they used their musical skills to build Tha HoodFellaz and what we know today as Trend Setters Incorporated. Eugene graduated with honors and currently attends Alabama A&M Unuversity. He is highly recognized as one of the most unique and real artist you can find. Class mates say that his intelligence is a big factor in his music because of his vocabulary, words usage, and lyrics. Freinds located in his neighborhood say its because of where he's from and what he's been through. When asked this question, he replied " I say its both. The words I use, the word play I use, & the way I say my lyrics all come from my intelligence. As for my lyrics them self, you know, what I talk about, it comes from what I've seen and what I've been through in my life. Put it like this, I've been at both ends of the table. I seen it all from being a honor student, to being a thug. It ain't too much you can tell me that I ain't done or seen first hand." A lot of labels can't seem to put him in a type of artist category. When asked was this frustating his response was, "Not at all. That just mean I'm one of a kind. I try to send out one message, but it's like I'm two people in one body. When I make music about the streets, I tellin y'all what I been through. I ain't glorifing it like most people do. When I make true music about hip hop and being creative with it, that music comes from my soul and the love I got for music as a whole." When we asked to sum up him self as a whole, his statement was, "Im sorry but thats something I just can't do. I'm too bright of an artist to be summed up. If you want to know about me, I want you to know everything about me. I want my fans and people as a whole to look at me and say, I feel everything he ever said. They should feel like they've know me all my life. So me being summed up just not gonna fly. What I could do is choose words that described me, but I refuse to to that." Our team questioned him why he refused, and Eugenius said, "Because if I did answer that, the words would be best, greatest, and ultimate. But I feel like I dont need to say it because I let my music and talent speak for me."
