Introducing: EZ Snap! Born Douglas E Castleberry, Jr. August 31, 1987 in Gary, Indiana. Growing up as a adolescent Douglas was bullied and tormented as most are; however, he was never comfortable with what the streets had to offer him. Douglas then focused much of his idol time, anger, bad temper and energy in basketball and artwork. These talents brought about the name ‘Snap”, with Douglas having such a unique middle name of Ezra a Hebrew name meaning "my court is God" Douglas incorporated the “EZ” with “Snap” and so we have the phenom professionally known as “EZ Snap”.
Now residing in Atlanta, Ga, EZ Snap custom designs and makes all of his own unique clothing, shoes and accessories as an artist. His style is fun, animated and colorful; just as his skills are on the basketball court. With his love and skill on the court 3 years ago EZ Snap suffered a severe chipped tooth injury in the midst of one of his tricks. Since then he has also used his chip tooth and "What It do Gymshoe?" as marketing catch phrases and concepts for his career. As a rapper, EZ Snaps multi-lyrical metaphors and the versatility of his flow and deliverance keeps people wanting and waiting for what's he going to do or say next. He's highly influenced and driven by And 1 basketball star Hotsauce, Eminem's music and real life trials and triumphs, Tupac's accomplishments, education and political knowledge in his short lived life, and Soulja Boys accomplishments from a young mans stand point into a business man to date.
With EZ Snaps positive outlook and deliverance of non cursing in his lyrics and many attempts to reach out and encourage the youth and adults in this day and age; Douglas hopes to encourage and help youth with songs and campaigns which include no bullying "stop it", anger control, surviving peer pressure, no smoking, no drinking ect. With his many God given gifts, talents, abilities, lack of tattoos, cursing, drugs or alcohol, EZ Snap is just the fresh breath of air the industry and society needs right now in our struggling economy, recession and rising depression, suicide, and crime rates.
