Fallen Justice is rock band from Frisco, Texas. The group consists of Shawn Andrews (guitar, vocals), Trevor Hicks (drums), and John Soular (bass guitar). The band's style is influenced by genres such as punk rock, Alternative rock, post-grunge, hard rock, and even extends into alternative and trash metal at times in songs like "Wrong". Fallen Justice formed when Shawn quit his old band in order to create a more hardcore punk influenced band. He soon rediscovered his love for other genres such as alternative rock (especially grunge), which became a big part of his songwriting style. Then he met Trevor in junior year of high school and discovered he played drums. The two practiced together in spring of 2010 and it went so well they decided to continue.
They decided on the name Fallen Justice because oh how they feel the state of the world is in. After many unsuccessful bass auditions they found Dylan, who stayed with them through the summer to record a demo with them, then quit just two weeks before their first ever booked show, July 30 at The Door in Plano. So Shawn asked his friend and ex-bandmate Drew (Westphol) to stand in, and together they played what Trevor and Shawn remember as "one of the worst gigs ever" due to lack of audience and perceived disrespect from the audience.
From there Fallen Justice experienced a small hiatus due to Trevor's drums not being in his possession, which lead to Shawn getting writer's block, but the band regrouped in the later half of fall, recruiting John as permanent bass player, and played their "other first show" on December 18th 2010, which went "way better" than their last gig.
Fallen Justice prides themselves in being self-taught, self sustaining musicians with a DIY ethic. They have a natural ability of writing catchy melody/rhythm based songs, and have a true passion for music. Fallen Justice has the potential to bring back the age of alternative rock when it wasn't about selling out to the trends, but when it was about playing what you want, how you want.
