Fantasia is a female rock band located in the San Francisco Bay Area. Their hard edge style of original music showcases a heavy groovin rhythm section and jammin guitar riffs layered with insightful lyrics and evocative melodies. Members of Fantasia are sisters Kelly Madden on vocals and Heather Madden on drums, with Barbara Genetin on guitars and Elan McIntosh on bass. Fantasia live leads you through a wide array of material, both electric and acoustic. From the turbulent sound of “Something Better,” to the seductive “Black Cat Stroll,” Fantasia beckons you to journey and explore the musical possibilities with the smokey psychedelia of “Traveler’s Road” the socially relevant “Peace and War”, and crowd pleaser Black Sabbath's N.I.B. Fantasia has played with national acts such as Thin Lizzy and Korn, and has appeared on local TV shows including Comcast's Battle of the Bands, featured on San Francisco’s Reality Check and collaborated on an online recording for Dave Navarro, the guitarist of Jane’s Addiction’s, website. Fantasia has performed at many Bay Area venues such as Blake’s in Berkeley, San Francisco’s Fat City, The Edge in Palo Alto Georges in San Rafael, and Fairfax’s 19 Broadway.
