Fantasy began in 1996 when a few high school friends decided to form a band. Lyle, Joe, Aaron and Dan played at coffee houses and recorded songs together on and off from 1996-1998. Fantasy began in 1996 when a few high school friends decided to form a band. Lyle, Joe, Aaron and Dan played at coffee houses and recorded songs together on and off from 1996-1998. Although many would-be home-made cassette albums were recorded, only one was released in June 1998. Interestingly enough the album, titled "252," was a bit of a departure from the group's typical material and signature songs.Although the band split up following high school graduation in 1998, Lyle, Joe and Aaron have continued to work together on occasional group and solo endeavors, and the four have kept in touch over the past ten years. It's interesting to look back now and examine their early projects and pursuits (a.k.a. humble beginnings). They decided it would be fun to post a few of their better songs from the old days on OurStage to see how they'd do.
