Introducing, “The Fashion Kidd Kash”, born as Kendric Tristan Shields October 31st 1985 in New Rochelle,New York. Mother moved to North Carolina to be with family and growing up In Durham, North Carolina “the city of medicine” at a early age Kash found himself in talent shows and making parodies to other songs. As young as age 9, Kash never considered taking it to the next level until a talent show in middle school that would change his way of looking at music. In 2000, Kidd Kash and friends around the neighborhood made a group and they called themselves “Merchandice” seeing success very fast and at a rapid speed. American idol judges where ready to sign papers for one of the members to appear on the show and possibly a contract to a major label. Unfortunately, problems of jealously would destroy their group. However, that did not stop Kash there. In 2003, Kidd Kash put together another group named “Empire” using the same ideas and connections from Merchandice. Kash soon went on a Full-Force front to let the city know that he was back and now he was ready to be heard again. He statrted surrounding himself with successful moguls such as DJ Skaz Digga, known for touring with the great “Big Daddy Kane.”Kash was also making conversation with big producer 9th Wonder, known for making good music for artist such as Jay-Z, Little Brother, and many more. With people like that in your corner you can not go wrong. In 2006, the members of Empire were asked to appear on B.E.T’s “Wild Out Wednesday”, but at the time there were no other hip hop groups on the show and unfortunately, Empire did not get that chance to perform. Not seeing success on a major scale and being around so many people, put Empire on an emotional rollercoaster so they were forced to go there own ways. In 2007, Kidd Kash went on a middle school tour in Durham, North Carolina and the buzz around the city put Kidd kash as a house hold name. In the fall of 2008, Kidd Kash appeared at Atlanta’s Sweet Auburn Festival and landed an article in Atlanta news papers. Currently Kidd Kash is working on music and still performing.
