About Fast Forward Romance

In April of 2006 outside the lobby elevator of a New York City recording studio, Kyle Archer asked Natalie Distler "Going up?" They were both headed to the 11th floor and pursuing careers as solo artists. They discovered instant chemistry, but also a three thousand mile obstacle.
Kyle is from Whitefish, Montana where he started his music career under long-time Bruce Springsteen sound engineer Toby Scott. Natalie is from New York, where she was—and still is, six seasons later—acting in FX's hit dramedy Rescue Me starring Denis Leary.
Soon after that first meeting, Kyle moved to New York and the duo began writing songs and performing together, and were soon packing cool Manhattan venues like The Bitter End. In each other, they found complimentary qualities that allowed the creativity to flow. In the two years that followed, the duo called Kyle & Natalie would pick up speed, polish their performances and build a following. In 2009 they recruited new friends and fresh sounds in Ryan Williams (bass), Fredrik Eriksson (lead guitar) and Jonathan Logan (drums).
Today, they are renamed and putting the final brushstrokes on an EP with veteran producer Ron Aniello. Kyle points out "Ron is amazing. He discovered Lifehouse, he's worked with Guster and Barenaked Ladies— we feel fortunate that he believes in us and we're so excited about the experience and passion he brings to our project."
Moving ahead, Fast Forward Romance is excited about the completion of the EP and eager to play the new songs live for an audience. They have aspirations of a US tour, recording a full-length album, and establishing themselves as artists with a unique identity and sound. "If we can make careers out of doing what we love—making music— and have some fun along the way, then we will have been successful" Natalie says, with a bright smile that indicates they are already having a pretty good time.
