Biography

I awoke from my drunken slumber. The room was empty… and spinning. I stumbled to my feet and pushed my way out the door, slamming into the wall across the hall. I heard the loud nonsensical bellowing only a rowdy party, (or a group of howling monkeys in heat), could make. I made my way down the hall, leaning against the wall. On my way I passed an open door. I couldn’t help but glance in. Was that the unmistakable naked ass of Lex Kosinski? This surprising visual coupled with the grunting noises emanating from the room made me decide the best move was to close the door and continue to move down the hall. After finding the hotel room everyone was partying in, I caught a glimpse of Chris Dasilva being force-fed spiced rum from the clubs’ bartender. Little does he know the girls next to him could soon be naked, but he will have passed out, missing the threesome opportunity of a lifetime. Cameron Boone was wrestling with the club’s promoter in his underwear, having just been awoken by a punch in the balls from a fellow partier. He was covered in felt pen from his head to his feet with various obscenities and male genitalia drawn all over him. Hopefully Cam learned the valuable lesson to never pass out in the party room. Travis Seufert stormed into the room shouting at everyone to look out for the naked man in the hall. Apparently someone had been pounding on his room’s door for the past 15 minutes. Travis quickly ran to the other side of the room and bailed out the window. It was remarkable how quickly things went downhill. Only a few hours before this sore display, this group of four fine young men were slamming out an incredible hard rock set on stage to a sold out crowd. All four had amazing energy. Chris Dasilva on drums and Lex on bass were as tight as David Lee Roth’s leather pants. The combination of Travis’ melodic lead guitar and Cameron’s driving down tuned riffs filled the room like a fat guy fills a Speedo. Cameron’s emotionally charged lead vocals focused the band’s sound. Using a combination of catchy hooks and guttural screams, Cam brings to life the energy of the band, and gets the crowd on their feet. Five Years Further released their debut EP “Infinite Beginnings” in 2009. Their self-recorded album features songs ranging from the heaviest neck breakers (Not Enough, Let It Out), to heartfelt rock ballads (Walk Away). Self Control is the kind of song that can fill up a dance floor, and Everything’s Alright’s intricacy should impress the pickiest of musicians. FYF can pull out all the stops. It can be seen that the trials and tribulations of self-recording an album and many nights on the road have transformed this band into a well tuned machine. It’s evident that whether it’s the commitment to giving a professional, energetic performance, or staying up past dawn partying with their fans, this band knows how to deliver.
