In addition to her vocal talents, picked up a talent of playing keyboards, violins, trap and percussion drums. Combining her sexy sound to hot dance tracks, she is not your "usual vocalist". Following her natural instincts, Fonda embarked upon a singing career that has already produced an enviable reputation. She has performed numerous engagements with renowned artists such as Isaac Hayes, Rick James, Teena Maria, Grand Master Flash, Curtis Blow, Jocelyn Brown, Fat Boys, Bambatta, the late Phyllis Hyman, Carol Douglas, Joe Simon, Vicky Sue Robinson,Muhammad Ali , Mary J. Blidge, Carl Thomas,etc Although being swept into the entertainment journey, her heart and skills also belong to other artistic endeavors such as : songwriting studio engineering and production, set designing, graphics, interior & exterior designing, mural painting, Wood work,furniture, fashion and jewelry designing. She has designed for various well-known artists like B.T. Express, Dee Dee Bridgewater and Anna Horseford to mention a few. With Don Armandos Second Avenue Rumba band, Fonda burst onto the music scene and was introduced to the world with the song "Deputy of Love" a smash hit that climbed fast to the number #1 Position on Billboard dance charts. Fonda later went on to appear with “Kid Creole and the Coconuts” and “Rainbow Brown”, a female trio with a sound all of its own. Later in collaboration with Fantasy, she told the world’s House Music lovers "You’re Too Late"- another dance floor winner. Then she recorded "Over Like A Fat Rat " which by many was named one of the best titles of the 80's, and until this day is still loved and played repeatedly around the globe, and then there was "Touch Me" with the group Wish Featuring Fonda Rae that ended up in “Nightmare on Elm Street” Part 2 Blockbuster Movie and is still sweeping the dance floors. Shortly after came the house tracks “Hea O Bah”,“Baby Do You Want My Love”, “Livin In Ecstasy” and “Get Into You”, which made Fonda Rae one of the dance music queens! Fonda has presently started her own company developing up and coming new talent.
