Welcome to the website for "At Your Request", the weekly television show produced and hosted by long-time Las Vegas entertainer and media personality, Frank LaSpina, who performs viewers' favorite songs to raise money for the Musical Arts Scholarship Program. "At Your Request" airs late-night Saturdays at 2 o'clock on KTUD, cable channel 14, satellite or broadcast channel 25 - however, a scheduling change is in the works to move the show to Sunday afternoons at two.The creation of the Musical Arts Scholarship Program was inspired by the N.Y. Times best-selling book, "This is Your Brain on Music", in which author Daniel Levitin, Phd., scientifically examines the vastly important role music plays in society, particularly in the development of children. These new understandings, sadly, come at at time when more and more schools are phasing out music classes. As a veteran private teacher in the Southern Nevada area, Frank has seen too many promising students fall by the wayside because their families could not afford to continue their instruction. One can't help but wonder how many more never even got the chance to start for those same economic reasons. Frank, is hoping - with your help - to change that and ultimately make it possible for all deserving youngsters to learn an instrument and/or study voice, if that is their desire. So, when you call our request-line at (702) 456-6657 asking for a certain tune to be dedicated to you or someone else, please, also, arrange to make a contribution to the Musical Arts Scholarship Program in order that some boy or girl can receive the greatest gift of all: music. Call that same telephone number to find out if a child in your life may be a candidate for financial assistance towards lessons"At Your Request" offers a unique and outstanding public relations opportunity for Las Vegas businesses. When a business contributes ($250 minimum) to the Musical Arts Scholarship Program, they are invited on the show to make a check presentation and talk about their product or service. Depending on the amount donated, these televised segments can run up to 5 minutes in length. Thereafter, these businesses will be mentioned by name at the end of each show for weeks to come. There are promotional extras beyond even that, for details call (702) 456-6657.Yet another fund-raising vehicle for the Musical Arts Scholarship Program is a 'live' stage production Frank wrote and began performing, this past year, and that is a tribute show to the late, great Perry Como as sung by Las Vegas' own singing barber, Victor Moea. Inasmuch as Perry Como had more #1 (14) and Top Ten (47) hits than any other singer plus starred in a prime-time network television show that ran for 15 years, it shouldn't be surprising this tribute has received standing ovations with crowds clamoring for more. A significant portion of the proceeds from the Perry Como Tribute Show go to the Musical Arts Scholarship Program. For a 5 minute video preview of the Perry Como Tribute Show please click on "Perry Como Demo".On behalf of Las Vegas youth, we thank you all, in advance, for your support and generosity.
