Funk In The Trunk

Funk in the Trunk has been a driving force in the Chicago music scene since late 2006. With a diverse group of musicians hailing from as far away as France, Funk in the Trunk brings a new type of funk mixed with rock, soul, blues and even Middle Eastern and African influences. The band’s unique sound has sometimes been described as a mix of Dave Mathews and James Brown, but that doesn’t come close to describing the energetic and very danceable groove the band lays down with over 3 hours of original music in addition to a range of funk and rock classics. The band looks to further extend its presence in Chicago and across the nation. It’s time to bring the Funk back to Chicago!
