Not the first time Gavin Slate has stunned an audience with his captivating lyrics and original melodies. Among the elite in Canada and the United States, Gavin is turning industry heads as he ventures forth with his singer/songwriter career. His recent song placement in the television show West 49 Ambition generated an abundance of followers both at this live shows and on his website. Gavin has a notable presence in Europe with a cut on the CD of the Dutch Idol winner Nikki Kerkhof (Sony/BMG). “The Songwriter’s Lounge” weekly series and a two year residency at The Unicorn showcased Gavin in Toronto as he co-hosted these well-attended shows. He is a regularly featured artist at Toronto’s Wednesdays Go Pop! at The Supermarket.(Toronto’s impressive new club for head-turning artists) Gavin has shared the stage with Justin Nozuka, Dawn Langstroth, Lindi Ortega, Joshua Bartholomew to name a few. Nashville has become Gavin’s second home and while he gains attention in Nashville, he is also working with Colin Cripps (Kathleen Edwards, Jim Cuddy) to produce his first professional recording (Spring 2010 release).
