Geek Love is a rock and roll power trio lighting it up in Melbourne, Australia. Their hard edged style has been molded by such contemporaries as Rise Against, Coheed & Cambria, and Metallica. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Avenged Sevenfold, Eighteen Visions, Killswitch Engage, Deftones, and AC/DC, Geek Love has forged their own particular brand of metal infused rock and roll. This delectable trio of degenerates that is Geek Love comprises Bobby Manila (guitar/vocals), and the rhythm section from hell in the form of Cammy (bass), and Keith Ratnan (drums). 2008 was a huge year for Geek Love winning over large crowds whilst supporting Shihad, The Butterfly Effect, Juke Kartel, Cog, Birds of Tokyo, Trial Kennedy, Calling All Cars, Mammal and also playing at the annual Grazzhopper Festival as well as The Rock The Bay Festival. Geek Love now look towards 2009 with the eminent release of their debut L.P. and the challenge of carving themselves an even lager niche in the Melbourne scene. Geek Love is set poised to be the name on the tips of everyone’s lips this year. “…I’ve seen Geek Love a few times but tonight’s set was them building a metal wall of hard-rock oppression only to tear it down with meaningful lyrics and catchy vocal lines…” (Dan Watt. Beat Mag. Jan 08) “…If Quentin Tarrantino made music instead of film, this is about as similar to his taste as you would find. Just when you think you’ve worked out the plot and rhythm of the song, it changes direction and takes you somewhere you never suspected.” (Boom Boom. The Fork and Spoon Mag. Aug 08)
