Ghetto began writing poetry at and early age. He was in junior high school when his language arts teacher Ms. Smith recoginized his gift and suggested that he put my poetry to music. Ghetto began writing poetry at and early age. He was in junior high school when his language arts teacher Ms. Smith recoginized his gift and suggested that he put my poetry to music. Already and extreme fan of the hip hop culture Ghetto made the transition from poet to emcee with ease and has been making powerful music ever since. Ghetto was born and raised in Staten Island N.Y. He grew up on Vanderbilt Avenue in the Clifton (Parkhill) section of Staten Island, NY. Influenced by the local rappers from my his and the surrounding borrows of the city Ghetto continued to hone his skills until he came to be known as one of the most lyrical emcees from Staten Island. Ghetto's blood brother (by oath) Wonda (Dubb) and he formed a group called Wondagheddon as teenagers and began recording and putting out cds locally (most infamously Direction Appoach their first collarabitive effort). Now certified emcees in their neighborhood WondaGheddon began to branch out and do various battles, mixtapes, open mics and showcases throughout New York City to further build their reputations as a emcees. After releasing Direct Approach In 2002 to much acclaim, the duo decided to release a 3 volume series of mixtapes called "No Rules When Ur On The Grind" which was the motto they were living by at the time. With them both releasing solo mixtapes and a collabortive effort. In 2005 while briefly living in Reading, PA, Ghetto met Caesar Glomgold, They did a few collaborations and the rest is Uncanny. Throughtout his quest for greatest Ghetto has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with the likes of C-Rays Walz, Petey Green, Graph, Paradox, Spank (Jus Bizness), I AM, Ice Water, EODUBB, Fes Taylor, Reef Da Lost Cause, UG(Cella Dwellaz), Milk D(Audio 2), Ad Lib, Jukstapose, Godilla, Lounge Lo, Inspectah Deck, Shyiem, Bootcamp, King Just.
