At it's core GHOST IN THE RODEO is about ideas, collaboration and striving to make honest, timeless music. Formed in Vancouver in 2003, GHOST IN THE RODEO is Steven Macaulay and Joshua MacDonald. What began as a side project for both of them has over the years progressed into a songwriting production team. Their debut album "Fire is Instant Theatre" is the fruit of this collaboration. Spending most of the last few years locked in the studio, they have developed a sound that is familiar yet distinct. With a song for everyone using a fusion of organic and electronic elements, GHOST IN THE RODEO have weaved together an album of songs which create a sonic tapestry backed by honest, emotionally charged lyrics.
Featured on the album is the artful violin of KYTAMI (Area code, Dont wait for me, Stay, Playing Hard To Get and Angels wings), OSC's booming vocals (Take it all from me), the soulful sax of Andrew Spence (For my Maker), the casual ease of Ross Mclean's guitar (Curbs) and a guest vocal by Justine Ross (Area code 301) as well as the sexy sensual guest lead vocas (Safe) by Paula Margarido and Roxy BeBe (Greenhouse).
