Ghost of Gloria is a four piece modern rock band out of South Florida with a distinct and singular purpose: to create, record and perform the music that exists within them with an unyielding will to succeed at any cost. The band formed in the fall of 2007 while recording and writing with Producer/Song writer Corey Lowery (Dark New Day, Stereomud.) Since it's inception, the band has hit the South Florida music scene like a tidal wave, amassing a following in just a few short months by getting attention at local radio stations like WHDR 93Rock, WPBZ 103.1 The Buzz and virtually non stop performances in venues all across Florida.
Drawing from influences such as Foo Fighters, Incubus, Sevendust, Tool and more, Ghost of Gloria fuses the unique talents and influences of each member into an unforgettable modern melodic-rock sound.
"We make music that means something to each of us," says lead vocalist and guitarist John D'Angelo. "...and I think you can hear that in our songs."
Ghost of Gloria recently released their 7 song EP, Voices from the Red Room, which is now available on iTunes, CDBaby.com and Amazon.com. The EP was produced, mixed and engineered by Matt LaPlant (Skindred, Nonpoint, Dashboard Confessional, etc.) The EP also contains their single "The Evidence", which was produced and mixed by legendary producer Don Gilmore (Linkin Park, Avril Lavigne, Lit, Good Charlotte.) as a result of winning the PickTheBand.com competion.
The band recently placed second in the nationwide Hard Rock Cafe Ambassadors of Rock Battle of the Bands, performed at the NASCAR Ford 400 series in Homestead, the Florida Music Festival, the Miami Music Festival and more.
Ghost of Gloria has expanded it's reach across the U.S. to cities such as New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Indianapolis and more. With a professionally produced music video for the single “Fight”, even more extensive touring dates and new music to come--you'd better start getting used to hearing the name "Ghost of Gloria."
