Goldenseal is a American rock band that plays over 60 shows per year. The strength of the band is the experience and versatility of its players coupled with the desire to play live. Founded in 1999,the band has built a loyal fan base by consistent and dynamic appearances in clubs and festivals all over New Jersey. Goldenseal has played with the following national acts: Rick Springfield, Better than Ezra, Chris Barron of the Spin Doctors, Southside Johnny and Bobby Bandiera. Goldenseal is an Asbury Park Music Award Hall of Fame “Beyond Asbury” inductee in the year 2008. In 2003, 2004 and 2005 the band garnered nominations in the top rock, top pop, top local release and top bassist categories. In 2004, Goldenseal was chosen as a semi-finalist in the 105.5 FM WDHA Best Unsigned Band in New Jersey competition. In 2009, Goldenseal was chosen as a semi-finalist in The Jersey Shore Jazz and Blues “IBC” band competition and will be performing at this year's festival at Monmouth race track. In 2008, Goldenseal was chosen by the U.S.O. to perform at Fort Dix for over 3500 Army National Guard troops deploying overseas.
