Ok, I know that artists are suppose to hire a publicist for this kinda stuff, but I'm just gonna be honest. I can't afford one of those. Plus it seems so generic and impersonal you know? So I decided to do an autobiography. My parents got divorced when I was 1. My Dad moved to San Francisco, and my Mom moved to a small town in West Marin called Woodacre with a booming economy of one general store and a post office. In order to get any place, I had to hitchhike, cause there was no public transportation. It was real cool though, cause back then I used to get so sick of the City with all the car alarms and sirens at night. And I would move back with my Mom to this quiet little town. I began freestyling and writing down lyrics when I was 11. There was a really good vibe even in mainstream Hip Hop back then that made it so appealing to me. I was really into Tribe and De La, but I'd have to say my largest influence was The Ruler, Slick Rick. That guy could tell you a story about a hamburger he ate if he wanted to, and you would listen, because he was so descriptive. Plus there was always a real catchy hook that you couldn't wait to hear one more time. Experience and knowledge is something that a lyricist must possess in order to be an MC with any sort of substance. In my life, I've experienced everything you can imagine. Good and Bad. And that is something that definitely shows in the songs I write. As an entertainer, I've traveled all over the United States. Things have really started to pick up though in the past two years in which I've performed in over 40 different US cities. My new Album, "Coulda Been That," has been getting lots of play on college radio all over the country. It has caught some flack though, because the cover art is real "low budget." The funny thing is, I made it that way on purpose. The music and graphical design of "Coulda Been That" represent the lifestyle of an underground/independent MC that's just trying to make enough money to get something to eat. Please help feed me...
