Goodz was born to Sujkia Woods, a single mother, in a small town in North Carolina called Burlington. Burlington is located outside of Greensboro off of I-40. Goodz was born to Sujkia Woods, a single mother, in a small town in North Carolina called Burlington. Burlington is located outside of Greensboro off of I-40. Although he lived in the same city as his father, his father was never around. Being raised by a single mother was tough and they went through many hard times. His father never seemed to care about Goodz and he used this negative feeling to push him toward a more positive outcome. Most of his life Goodz has been trying to prove his father wrong and make a better life for his family. Goodz started running the streets and hanging out with the wrong crowd at a young age. After a few incidents with the police he seemed headed for self destruction. Because of the love of his mother and her influence in his life he was able to turn it all around. He had two more years left in school and focused on more positive things in his life. Instead of running the streets he began using his pen to write about the streets. He used all of his free time to work on his craft and to get better. He began free styling and having rap battles at school. The more he worked on it the better he got and the more he could use it to express his feelings and to tell the stories of the things he had seen and been through. He then competed in the 102 JAMZ “Making the Station” freestyle battles. He eventually won the competition. He then released his hit record, “Rockin Beads”, which is dedicated to living in North Carolina and rocking rosary beads. It was then that Goodz started feeling the and seeing the positive aspects of rap music. Now with a few mix tapes under his belt and a new promo album in the works, Goodz is focusing on puttig his state on the map and taking the hip- hop world by storm.
