Emanuel Green is a 25 year old entrepreneur from Deming New Mexico.  He hopes that his story will be inspirational to others one day.  His father died when he was a baby and his mother was deemed unfit to care for him and his brother.  He was placed into the foster care system and was eventually taken in by a loving and caring single mom who raised him, his brother, and her daughter.  He was taught to appreciate the little things in life and how to work for everything he wanted.  “My first dream was to be an Olympic runner.”  Unfortunately this dream never came to be for Emanuel after a bicycle accident.  Shortly thereafter he ventured into rap music and started to gain a following and a reputation in his small town as M.I.S.T.A. Green.  He became popular amongst his peers and decided to pursue the dream of being a recording artist.  Emanuel was able to accomplish signing a distribution deal before he graduated high school.  “The thought of having my music distributed worldwide was exciting!”  Unfortunately this excitement was short lived as well.  Due to his lack of experience and guidance the deal took a dive along with his music career.  Emanuel decided to take a break from music and enrolled at New Mexico State University where he sought to major in Business Administration in Finance.  Unrelenting in his pursuit Emanuel worked his way back into music revamping his image, and style.  He signed with an independent manager who managed to get him a small distribution deal and he experienced small success.  Including a stint on the radio M.I.S.T.A. Green was reborn into The Man Green.  Emanuel ventured into other areas of music as well including music publishing and formed his own independent music publishing company called Greenolution.  After battling many upsets, setbacks, and broken promises Emanuel decided to set down the microphone and take his studies more seriously.  It was at this time that he started to develop a better sense of who he was and what he wanted to be.  He decided to venture back into the music industry but this time on the business side.  With his new found focus and ambition he landed a summer internship at EMI Capitol Records.  “This is where the story of The Man in the Green Shoes begins.” In order to stand out at his internship Emanuel purchased a pair of lime green Stacey Adam dress shoes off of eBay.  He wore these shoes every single day to work in hopes of being noticed or recognized.  “The whole purpose was to simply be remembered.  I knew that I needed to do something to be remembered so what better way to do that than some lime green shoes.”  Emanuel was always referred to by his last name Green so this strategy worked in his favor.  “It wasn’t just me wearing the green shoes; it was me wearing the green shoes on top of being me.”  He made an effort to not only wear the shoes but greet his co-workers every day before sitting down at his desk.  By the end of his time at Capitol Records Emanuel had created a brand and a presence amongst his co-workers.  On the last day of his internship at Capitol Records all his co-workers came to work in green.  By the time he left Emanuel was known by executives, managers, and security guards as The Man in the Green Shoes.  He was told he had a very unique brand and he needed to keep it and do something with it.  “I have always been a dreamer and an entrepreneur.”  Emanuel returned home with this idea and has now come full circle with all his endeavors.  He believes that all his failures in the entertainment industry have led him to create The Man in the Green Shoes.  Now he plans to take on the world as The Man in the Green Shoes and present to the masses.  Armed with a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration in Finance he hopes to show the world just how far you can go with a pair of Green Shoes.  His story continues to be written……
