Grip wrench’s life story began in the parish of St. James Jamaica where he attended Granville basic school from where he went to Harrison primary. His scholastic activities terminated at catadupa all age . even though singing was the only thing he wanted do for life,he realized that he had to get some form of livelihood until his recording ambitions blossomed. He became a radio technican. Screwdriver, the man who shot to the top of the charts in the late 80’s with a single called “Sharon yu pregnant”-was the man grip wrench used to work together with. One day while they where together, a young woman looked at him and said “how you so quiet, if him a screwdriver, you must be Gripwrench.The strongest influence that began his career came from pinchers and pliers– two prominent Jamaican singers with tool names. His first recordings came in the late 80s when he recorded “in your eyes” “tracks of my tears” “all my life” All songs were done on the same label. His biggest local show [ Jamaica ] was “all schools jam” after which he toured Canada in 1992 for a series of shows.His favorite singer of all times is Burning spear, his favorite color is yellow, favorite food ackee & saltfish. In his spare time he plays some cricket
