Fueled by the finest all natural herbs that the suburbs of northern New Jersey have to offer, this four piece groove filled mess of musical maliciousness started to take shape in May of 2008. It all started when guitarist Ryan Turner began jamming and writing songs with drummer and high school friend Jason Iskeliunas. From there the next step came as an addition to the rhythm section in the form of Dennis Mocarski. Now with the musical aspects starting to fall more and more into place what was left? The impending solution being fellow booze master and black-out king Tom Milinkovich on vocals. The band got its name from best friend/photographer/artist/booze brother, Matt Eaton. From there all the band members heads began to explode and fireworks shot out in the form of ten foot knives. They soon turned into wizards and began casting spells on liquor stores across the country. Groove Joom’s goal and vision is to reach the ears of the people, but more importantly as long as it reaches the ears of the band members themselves, the groove will never die.
