Studied Classical and Jazz theory, reading/writing sheet music, proper instrument placement & hand/finger techniques for the Bass in the early 80's. His instructor would sit at a piano during these lessons and would play notes, chords, scales, modes... on the piano while Mike followed along on his bass, allowing Mike to develop his own style and feel, indirectly giving Mike insight and an 'ear' for playing the Piano.
Mike also plays drums, percussion, electric and acoustic guitars. Mike played and recorded Bass and Keyboards in many original and cover bands over the years in Staten Island, Manhattan, New Jersey, Florida, Pennsylvania and would run the live sound mixing board for other bands.
