Honestee (pronounced “honesty”) is a rapper from the burbs of New York City who tells it like it is… no exceptions. He began rapping at summer house parties to impress girls and vent the feelings of a broken family. He doesn’t follow the typical “cookie-cutter” image of what rap has become today, instead he paves his own way without looking back. Up until 2008 he was recording in a friend’s basement and performing at local dive bars and house parties. In the summer of 2009, he linked up with Cross Arms Entertainment and began performing at larger venues and recording in a professional studio. In late August 2009, he began working on his first mix tape, “More Than a Hobby”, and by mid February, it was complete. You can hear Honestee's music thumping in car stereos from the Bronx to Poughkeepsie, as well as on YouTube and MySpace.
