The very first impression you will get from listening “Anthropos” is one of a powerful and united hard rock sound. they are a band capable of producing a real musical passion along with a strong confidence on stage . The music from their latest album "Live In Ossuary" is the ideal soundtrack for periods self absorption and/or for long road trips. The band members say that it is not the ability “to  produce the right sounds”, but rather the ability of the band to transmit their feelings through their music which sets them apart. In 2008 Paolo Pedana was the force behind the creation of the band. The members are comprised of Michele Palafreni (lead singer and keyboards) ,Paolo Pedana (lead drums & back up vocals ) , Alessandro Bravi and Luca Bianchi (lead rhythm guitar ) and Giacomo Bucci (bass). After a good number of gigs all over the region of Umbria, they took part in competitions and contests throughout the region. In “Unimusic Live”, they won the prize for ”best vocal” and “best lyrics”. For their song “Let the Power Go Out”, and “Sanremo al Centro” they were invited to play on the famous stage of Santa Giuliana in Perugia . The band was awarded semi-finalist status at the national “PopRockContest” in 2009 as well as at the “Tour Music Festival” organized by Mogol at “Studio 1” in Cinecittà, Rome.In October of 2009, they had an opportunity to play in Minsk, Belarus, where the band received the accolades it so richly deserves. After this very positive experience the band started looking for more foreign gigs, and producers. The next greatest turning point for the band took place in 2010 when Paolo Pedana met Terry Gilliam. Following this meeting, the band wrote and dedicated a new single “Strangers of the Nowhere” to Terry Gilliam. This song achieved great success and become one of the most popular with their fans. It has subsequently been published by both Italian and foreign recording labels. In 2012 the band took part in the tour “Belarusian Beautiful” and they have become even more popular with the young people in the Belarus region. The band most recently has been involved in a film project with director Lorenzo Lombardi. Anthropos will be starring in a movie which is based on their music career. The premier of this film is not expected before 2014 but, will be released in over 100 Italian Multi-Cinemas. Terry Gilliam, the famous film director, has agreed to play a small part in the movie. The project is currently in the process of being written. For 2013, Anthropos is developing a promotion entirely by themselves and are receiving a great response from Russia, Belarus and several Asian countries. This project and new tour will include the countries of INDIA, USA, GERMANY, POLAND, UK, ITALY and BELARUS.The goal of the band is to bring their music, their emotions, and their story to the world. Their themes are never obvious but, should always be considered as real human introspection of the emotions of love; a love of women, life, death and of fun. What has been said of about Anthropos:"I always keep your cd in my desk, I like it very much and it reminds me of the sounds of the 70's with a little bit more oomph!" Terry Gilliam“Goliardics!” – Red Erik “RCC Radio Station” broadcasts their songs really often“It’s probably your young age mixed together with an incredible talent arising from each of you that makes that energy fulfilling to everybody, the old and the young. That must have SOME importance” –A.P. , a TRUE fan .
