Born Paige Wheatland Jr. on March 13 , 1988 to Lisa Williams and Paige Wheatland Sr. coincidently a year when hip-hop was taking over the world. Born 2 months early in the urban crime infested city of New Haven, CT, the melody of success pumped in his heartbeat. Lets just say he was ahead of his time.
From rap battles on the corner or high school hallways to live shows performing one of his hit records in front of a packed house, Dreams always demanded attention and respect. With the delivery and lyrical content of your of favorite rapper, and the talent to create a universal radio ready hit record, like some of today’s hottest pop stars his crossover ability is out of this world. He displays his versatility, fresh flashy cocky but humble demeanor and his genuine passion for music in his latest mixtape “Highwayy 2 Fame” hosted by Dj Cris Coke which was released Feb.9th,2010. Dreams and partner Feeva make up the production team “The Hit Club” which produced numerous tracks on the mixtape. His fans are highly impressed and entertained as he takes them on a ride track for track with party music, lyrical compilations, R&B bangers, fame through his eyes, and all around life experiences. Exposing his talents in different genres, he shows off his growth from his debut mixtape “Life Is But A Dream” released in 2007.
“Stop banging on those paint cans” yelled his grandmother from the 3rd floor kitchen window. As a adolescent Dreams was always addicted to music and every aspect of it. Playing in the middle school marching band, high school drumline even being in a boys youth choir as a child was only the tip of the iceberg. Flashback to the future music became a gateway drug for Dreams. On his 25th hour his track record became extensive. Performing at the Legendary Apollo, University of P.A spring break, headlining a local artist showcase at the biggest venue in his hometown, Toads Place. Also opening up for major artist such as Soulja Boy, KRS-1, Juelz Santana, Jim Jones, Wiz Khalifa, Cory Gunz, Lloyd Banks, Mims, and Jae Millz, in addition to doing many other clubs, open mics, talents shows, fashion shows and showcases. Dreams has a tattoo on his back which states “what u go through makes u who u are, my past made me a man my future makes me a star’. With that said opportunity knocks on everyone’s door at one time or another, but opportunity was shocked when it got to Dreams. Before it got the chance to knock he was already on the front porch waiting.
