IceBerg Slimm, born Brandon Rondore' Barnes is a native of Suffolk,VA. Birth into a large poverty stricken family, he and his mother lived a somewhat nomadic life style, moving from project to project througout hampton roads Virginia. Cypress Manor, a east suffolk housing devolopment neighborhood is a place he most familiar calls home. Although, his mother would persistently seek new opportunities to leave a crack infested, gunplay plague area; IceBerg Slimm seemed to always find himself back inside the brick walls of Cypress Manor. Musical talents was somewhat inherited by IceBerg Slimm, considering that his father's side of the family are all muscians, who were taught by his mother's grandfather. IceBerg Slimm, would eventually follow in their footsteps finding his way around piano keys by playing songs off the radio "by ear." Hip-hop was most influentially introduced to IceBerg Slimm at the tender age of six, IceBerg and his cousin's would try making ryhmes on a makeshift microphone, plugged into a boom box for entertainment. Highly influenced at an early age by New york artist like Nas, Slick Rick, Jay-z, Notorious B.IG, and Wu Tang. IceBerg Slimm would later reach out to discover more artist from different area's of America. Introduced to southern and west coast rappers, by his mother's husband at the age of 12. IceBerg became an attentive listener to artist such as UGK, Eightball MJG, Scareface, Comptons most wanted, N.W.A, Dr.Dre and Snoop dogg, Too Short, and others... Feeling completely engulf with the art of Hip-hop, IceBerg Slimm would soon create his own songs at the age of 17. Using the art of rhyme as an opportunity to discriptiviely vent ghetto living, Firearms fascination, story's of armed robberies, and local narcotics trade via his surroundings.
