My Story
Willy Nelson once said, "to write a song, ya just got to reach up and pluck one out of the sky". . . like Willy, I write songs. Lots of songs!
When I was a child I could not sing. . . I had a terrible voice- my older brother (the one who could sing), when I did attempt to sing, use to tell our mother, "Mom. . . stop him! he's hurting his throat!". I grew up believing I was not a "singer" until some time out of school, having laid down my drums for an adult life, I picked up a guitar and began to pluck out some tunes.
My 1st Songs
My first songs were very poor compositions, the kind only a mother would listen to. Gradually over many years- more and more people began to listen- after many many attempts (hundreds!) I began to construct songs with reasonable structure. . . solid story lines and good solid chorus hooks- the kind you could sink your teeth into.
Never Give Up!
I never gave up the dream- the dream that someday. . . people would recognise my humble talent. I simply wanted to be recognized as a bona fide "Song Writer"!
I Owe It To You
"The wind blows and we know not whether it comes or it goes"
When did I first attain this confirmation, that I can truly call myself a Song Writer? I received it gradually, bit by bit, from people and friends like you- I sing my songs and people like you listen- "if there be no one to hear, I have no compulsion to speak".
Allow Me To Introduce Myself,
