I MEAN MUGG birth name Ryan Graves was born December 23, in the early eighties. He was born to Barbara Graves, fathered by GOD, yet influenced by the streets. The musical genes of I MEAN MUGG originated from his mother, who was an inspiring singer in her late teens through her early twenties. At the age of six I MEAN MUGG was introduced to what would become his destiny, after his mother wrote his first rhyme for him; from this rhyme sparked a dream to not be one of the best entertainers, but the best entertainer that would ever touched a microphone. At age nine the passion and the love of music started to grow in him and I MEAN MUGG, then known as lil black started to write his own rhymes. With a group called jatis, at age thirteen, I MEAN MUGG was nown more for "B BOY" and " pop-locking", but rap was still his main objective. At age fifteen, I MEAN MUGG left the group and became a solo artist. At this time he linked up with a few friends and they they formed the group called "The Gutta Boyz". During this time the Gudda Boyz were with an independent record label called Yoself Records. The group recorded two albums with this label, but the group never took off due to legal problems with members of the group. Frustrated and feeling hopeless the group split and aw age eighteen, I MEAN MUGG was again a solo artist. I MEAN MUGG stayed with Yoself Records and he recorded his first solo project, Struggle but Strive. I MEAN MUGG released struggle but strive in 2003. At the time of the release Yoself records showed little support in furthering the project and I MEAN MUGG left the label and decided to be his own label. I MEAN MUGG wrote and featured on independent released albums and put out a few mix-tapes. Now here in 2010 I MEAN MUGG is Atlanta's diamond in the ruff, hooking up with a very business savvy partner, Ken Lucas of Kendar Entertainment LLC.
