Imprint is the experimental, electronic art of London based Sin D’rella, and after much struggle was finally unleashed on myspace early in 2008. Her debut show was at The Junction – Bristol in June 2008, swiftly followed by further U.K dates and then onto her first US tour in October of the same year, where she made quite an impact with her controversial version of America The Beautiful. At the same time the first recording was released on a compilation for US based Shinto records. A so far unreleased version of “Love Will Tear Us Apart” has impressed none other than Peter Hook…. "Sent shivers up my spine..Made my hairs stand on end...Haunting..Good...Very good! " Peter Hook (Joy Division/New Order) Sin is currently in the studio completing her debut album “The Wisdom Out of The Wound” which is due for self release in 2009. Imprint will be touring Europe this year, with shows confirmed in Poland, Greece, Austria and the U.K..Beginning with a show supporting The Alabama 3 in London. "Siren-voiced goth-tronica" NME ..."brings echoes of my past but there's no mimic here. The mixture of attitude meeting sparse electronica and samples that sometimes crush and caress along with Sin's voice is what brings back the memories. Where could I place Imprint to give people some kind of an idea what to expect? Not in any category but amongst such people as Fad Gadget and Joy Division, Magazine and Killing Joke and Portishead, in a little world of her own, dark but in many ways life-affirming." Bob Bloke - The Junction - Bristol " lush, gothic-tinged strings, bells and piano over a stark framework of distorted industrial loops and apocalyptic sound effects. At the centre of all this was an impassioned vocal performance. Sin makes virtuoso use of the change between her 'head' and 'chest' voices..." ...Sound on Sound Magazine Mistress of her signature brand of thoughtful, moody electronic experimentalism. Imprint are clearly going places, making this a great time to see her at a local level before she becomes massive. AMO Promotions For Bookings : e-mail : imprintme@googlemail.com
