IO!!!!!!!!! Hi we are Independent Overload! We are an up and coming teen band and have 4 members. Our band started out in 7th grade as just guitar and drums(mike havens and tim leichliter) jammin at tims house. Then came their schools talent show in 8th grade, but then they knew they had to have vocals in their band to at least get through tryouts. IO!!!!!!!!! Hi we are Independent Overload! We are an up and coming teen band and have 4 members. Our band started out in 7th grade as just guitar and drums(mike havens and tim leichliter) jammin at tims house. Then came their schools talent show in 8th grade, but then they knew they had to have vocals in their band to at least get through tryouts. The song that they chose also had to be a positvie christian song, and mike and tim from that point only rocked out 2 green day and stuff. So they knew they wanted a good solid rock song and agreed on meant to live by Switchfoot. They crammed practices in and mike took on the role of vocals along w/ lead guitar. So after they flew through tryouts it was time. IO was in the middle of the line-up and after them was a senior band. They had some great competition from allot of upperclassmen. IO was called up and just blew everyone out of their seats, and they didnt even think they were THAT good. Then after the whole thing IO came out w/ second place, right behind that senior band. Now they knew they had something good going.Mike and Tim kept rockin out at Tim's house and accomplished lyrics to most of their songs and ended up having an end of jr.high concert, which was a great success w/ a good crowd of about 70 people. Proceeds were excellent and bought us 5 hours of recording time. We recorded Through Time and Highway of Dreams both originals. The only problem_no bass player. I'm not sure what it is in South Florida but there seems to be a limited amount of bass players. But luck for us there was 1! CHASE THE BASS!!! Chase Hollen was recruited by Tim and they quickly got him into practice to find that he fit in just perfectly! They had a christmas concert coming up in about a month and weren't sure if Chase could get down all 31 songs. But sure enough, he did. Chase is a very determined and goal set bass. He's allot of fun at practice and a great help in the band. Which brings me to my next point. With Chase, IO auditioned for Battle of the Bands South Florida at the South Florida Fair, and got in. Then we knew we just had to have a rhythym guitarist so Mike could rip out those kick ass solos. And who would've guessed that Chase had a younger brother, Jerod, who plays guitar and we immediatly got him in the practices and battle of the bands. He has definitly came in and fit in the whole IO way perfectly. And now were working in the studio tog et out a solid ep for every1 to rock out 2!!!So there are allot of things to look forward too so stay tuned and keep supporting INDEPENDENT OVERLOAD!!! Trust us IT WILL BE WORTH IT!!!!THANKS---IO!!!!!!!!!
