Known by his stage name, "YunGn!," this explosive ball of talent has been known to pose a threat to his musical counterparts in more ways than one. With every performance, he brings his "A" game, transforming into a lyrical live wire ready to spark, leaving his audience bobbing their heads and begging for more.
Growing up on the Eastside of Downtown Charleston, "YunGn!" earned his moniker from being able to fit in amongst the older guys in his neighborhood. Being the youngest in the crew, he learned discipline and how to govern himself in certain situations, which later reflected through his music. Much of this musical influence also stemmed from his older brothers who had taken up rap as a hobby. By the age of 14, "YunGn!" decided that he would turn rap into more than just that, but use it as an art.
Since then, he has been devoted to building his own brand, and determined to show the world that you can build your own empire by starting your own foundation without depending on a major label. With this philosophy, he started his own label called Gorilla Gang Entertainment and uses his own finances to fund his projects. He admits however, this can be one of the obstacles you face being your own boss, but the reward in the end is far greater than the smaller hurdles in the beginning. With countless recognition, performances and accolades under his belt, "YunGn!" stresses that this is only the beginning. He plans to put out his first EP within a few months and continue to book shows and build a bigger buzz. In the mean time he's humbled by his achievements yet more importantly wants the world to get ready because although he's young, he's a BIG force to be reckoned with.
