Skool’d began in late 2010 and in March of 2011, they released their first EP titled, ‘All That Matters’. Skool’d spent the rest of the year promoting their name and performing with many artist’s such as J.Cole, Big K.R.I.T, Timeflies, Machine Gun Kelly, Nappy Roots, The Dean’s List, Gilbere Forte, Slick Rick, and many more. Spending the winter months of 2012 in the studio, Skool’d prepares to release their debute EP, ‘The Departure’ in May.
As a listener, it’s difficult not to identify with a group of aspiring musicians whose only goal is to get their music and ideas out to anyone who can relate. As difficult as modern pop culture has made it, Skool’d is a group searching for substance and authenticity in a world where fame and fortune is the goal, and music merely the means to get there.
