Writing songs since the age of 12, led her to win a nationwide song writing contest for Lincoln Mercury, called "Lincoln Spotlight". She also just recently won the February 2010 songwriter of the month contest for the magazine Songwriter Universe. Jael has opened for various national recording artists, like rapper, Common, receives radio airplay for her original songs, and has songs placed in major films like "Bring it on 4." She was also the 2007 and 2008 winner of "Think LA's" annual "Adjam's Battle of the Bands" contest with the band named, Chiat/Riot.
Other accomplishments include appearing in the feature film, "American Dreamz," appearing in a national K-Swiss television commercial, and performing with her own band throughout Los Angeles.
Her first album, "The Journey," features 10 self written songs, (3 of which she co-produced), that explores feelings of being in love, being hurt by love, and picking yourself up when life throws you a curve ball. This album carries you on an exhilerating ride that will leave you energized, engaged, and uplifted.
Currently, Jael is performing in Los Angeles and working on her second album due out in the summer of 2010!
