Since leaving New Orleans’ Dirty Dozen Brass Band in 2006 to make a name of his own, Jamie McLean has been electrifying crowds around the country with his original brand of Honest Rock and Roll. McLean and his burning band have been hitting the highways with the likes of Blues Traveler, Gov’t Mule, Taj Mahal, Dr. John, North Mississippi Allstars, Marc Broussard and many others. His blazing guitar work mixed with soulful vocals and strong songwriting skills have set him apart from being a one-trick pony front man. To call Jamie’s touring and songwriting prolific would be an understatement. He released and toured behind the 12 tracks from fan favorite “American Heartache” in the fall of 2008 to rave reviews. However, he didn’t stop there. Literally days after the “American Heartache” tour ended he and the band headed straight into the studio to record 17 tracks for Jamie’s follow up album. Jamie McLean’s latest album “Completely” has been a lifetime in the making and highlights his penchant for Americana rock, soul and funk as well as his introspective singer/songwriter roots. “Completely” features 11 original songs which embody the miles logged on the highways, the hours spent in studios and on stages. Contrary to the last few disks, the new album is comprised only of Jamie McLean his band (Brian Griffin on drums and Bens Mars on bass) which brings out the complete workings of the result; hence the namesake of the album.
