Jason Perno

Jason Perno is a singer/songwriter from the Catskills in Upstate New York. He attended SUNY Geneseo and SUNY New Paltz. His studies included Music, Psychology, Classical Voice, Jazz Voice and Music Therapy. Jason went on to graduate with honors from SUNY New Paltz with a B.S. in Music Therapy. From 2002 until present, Jason has toured on and off around the world. He has performed hundreds of shows. From 2002 until present, Jason has toured on and off around the world. He has performed hundreds of shows. Countries he has played in include Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, France, Greece, China and Australia. He has also performed on Cruise ships sailing between Finland and Sweden. In 2007, Jason took one year off to attend the Institute for Audio Research in New York, New York. He graduated with a 4.0 and received 2 awards from IAR. The first was the Audio for Picture Award 2007: Long Format winner and the second award was Outstanding Achievement award in Overall Production. Jason has also studied voice privately on and off with Mark Baxter, famous for coaching celebrities such as Steven Tyler, Jonny Lang and Gary Cherone. Jason continues to write while on tour. He creates his music with 1 mic, 1 preamp, 1 stereo A/D converter, and Pro Tools LE with an Mbox Pro while occasionally tracking vocals at local studios. For the most part, all instruments, arrangements and performances are done by himself as well as the mixing and mastering of his original songs.
