Biography

The dark whiskey voice of Katee Lee possesses you with her "powerhouse bass and vocals". There's no one else that sounds even close to her in music today ("and...this girl can sing" raves George Stroumboulopoulos). She slays with cadence as she slips easily through big chorus' and leaves fans screaming for more. - Keri Jade Ruddick AWARDS AWARDS As Moeraes Fate 2009 Image FM Album of The Year KIAC Best of 2009-1st place Genre: Rock 2009 DurhamMusicSociety Band Of The Year 2009 YouDiscover...

I began singing at 8 and won various awards in my hometown at an early age. Between 10-13 I was involved alot with music theater and learned the importance of dramatic performance. At 13 I began playing bass guitar,(taught by brother Nick Lee (a prominent musician and teacher at Long and McQuade) Kayla Faye(drummer) and I eagerly wanted to form a band so we searched for a guitarist and started DAME. We were lucky to grab the attention of Haydain Neale, lead singer of jacksoul who quickly became our producer and manager. He was also my vocal coach. We received world wide recognition and won a slew of awards including 2008 Toronto Independent Music Awards Alt Rock Band of the Year and Song of The Year. Last year we changed our guitarist and brought on Ali Stead. Sadly Haydain Neale passed away as well last year so we decided to produce ourselves for now. We evolved our band name to MOERAES FATE. Seems there are too many other Dames in the world. New Years Eve Dec 21 2009 we had the prestigious honor of opening for Styx and Glass Tiger at the huge outdoor New Years Eve event just across the street from Niagara Falls to over 30,000 screaming fans. What a night! We are planning to come out with our full length CD this year and are looking forward to staying true to ourselves and our sound.
